nice. I have a Grizzly so I'm curious about your methods...

What did you use to strip it?

What are you planning to use to bring back the finish?

Thanks Palladin! I experimentated with 3 products that didn't do squat then I found one that works to get the paint off carefully without damaging the finish. Then I have a 2 oz. Bottle of Shazam wood refinisher that cost around $30.00 and just takes a few drops to restore the wood to its natural beauty
Amazing transformations in hrs......tra uploadfromtaptalk1305162037497.jpguploadfromtaptalk1305162071368.jpguploadfromtaptalk1305162124615.jpguploadfromtaptalk1305162149996.jpg

Nice job!
I was going to say be careful because Bear did do some factory camo jobs but after seeing your pictures it doesn't look like any Bear camo I've seen.
I love the older Bears. I don't think the new custom jobs shoot any better. Ol' Fred knew what he was doing.

yeh Grey T, i thought at first it might be a earlier bear recurve factory camo paint which i wouldnt mess with until i really looked close and came to the conclusion it wasnt thats why i bought it just to experimant and practice refurbishing without worrying to what happens to the bow or finish. i am still amazed how it came out after i got all the paint off had no clue the bow was that sweet under all the paint, lucky me! have a great day!....tra
