Department of Fish and Game wardens are working with the National Geographic Channel to showcase wildlife crime fighting in California. “Wild Justice” debuted nationally with two episodes on Sunday, Nov. 28. More than 3 million people tuned in to watch one or both of the episodes. The show has now moved to a regular time slot of Wednesday nights at 10 p.m.

Wild Justice Comments

Once again the institutional prejudice towards bear hunters and houndsman that lurks in the internal machinations of California Fish and Game has reared its' ugly head, only this time to a national broadcast audience. "Wild Justice" has also cast a light on the overwhelming preponderance of pot gardens in California that our wardens seem to spend more time busting than poachers. If our federal government actually enforced immigration law and secured the border maybe fewer illegal Mexican nationals would make it into the U.S. and use public lands to fill the coffers of Mexican drug cartels. Every scene involving bear hunters and houndsmen seemed to presuppose their guilt or possible violation of one of the many arcane regulations surrounding bear hunting and running hounds, but lo and behold, no citations issued. I can go on an on but I have more important things. See you at the Fish and Game Commission meeting in Feb. 2011 in Sacramento. -Pete

Why should they not spend time on pot gardens? The growers are a direct threat to anyone hunting in the area and a direct threat to wildlife. The pot growers have decimated the deer herd where I hunt.
