Just found out that my girlfriends uncle has a few hundred acres in stoney creek CA. He says he finds sheds all the time. When do the tules actually shed their horns? Just trying to figure out the best time of year to go visit and start looking. Thanks

I took a tule elk in september and he had broken off his left drop tine, about 10" long. He broke it off when he was on private property and the caretaker saw him one evening with both drops and then the next morning he was missing the left side. This guy is a shed hunter and he told me he starts his shed hunting in feb. and he thinks that he can find it for me. He has an awesome shed collection, attached are some pics. These sheds are from Stoneyford, is that where you are going ?
