Isn't that an amazing tailgait by the Crosby's and calquail? Good eye Rudy, that's him.

Neil, I'm sure we'll be in the same neighborhood at some point this season. No need paying for shipping if it's not necessary. Is that a pic of Griff's Cinn in the picture thread?

That was an epic day for sure. What a great way to end the season. Scott the bird looks great. My blood is boiling to get out and hunt. We spent the day scouting yesterday for some new deer areas and the season is almost here. FYI, the ponds will be dry within the next week or two so if we want to dig that pit now is the time to do it. Maybe when you get back.

Ryan, we'll be back on the 1st, so anytime after that is good. You bring the beer, I'll bring the smoked Sockeye!

Nice looking birds Scott. You do great work.

"You bring the beer, I'll bring the smoked Sockeye!"

I call that a fair trade.

Yep Scott, that's Griff's cinnamon. Last bird of last season. Pretty good color, I think. Should make a good mount.

'Course, it's an ice cube now.

Scott,

Have you ever tried mounting divers coming straight in? I had this Redhead done for one of the kids I take hunting ( his 1st diver & graduation present). What I like about it is it shows the entire bird and just has that look about it when they tip when coming in.

As usual beautiful work............

Neil, that bird will make a beautiful mount, great looking plumage!

Steve, what a great graduation present, and a very nice mount to boot. I've got a pair of Canvasbacks I'll be doing soon that will be posed coming straight out in a HARD bank to final approach. I agree, it's a great way to pose divers!
