New Hunter

Any hunters in the Monterey area that are willing to go with a first time hunter out on public land so that I can learn the ropes from someone with some experience. Even just scouting around would be great. Thanks in advance.

I cant help but stay around and read some old post lots of super great people on this site that go out of there way to help a newbie out ( I am a rookie too) good luck !!!

Per some DFG wardens if you can draw for the 1st day hunt at Camp Robert Cal Natl Guard base can be very good for hogs. Check out Modlimps post a few pages back that post beat the public land hunting issue to death. Download the DFG guide to public land hunting for pigs. if you are a Vet you can hunt at vandenbufg AFB they used to allow Vets and active service persons to bring guests but no more.
