I'm in the porcess of building my first camera.  The other day I was sitting at my work bench trying to figure out how I was going to keep my 9V battery from ratteling around inside the box.  The soulution I came up with is Velcro.  It has an adhesive backing that allows you to just peal and stick to whatever.  I put a small half inch pice to my 9v battery, on my circuit board, camera and even the 12v battery. Now nothing moves.  If you've got anything that's giving you a problem staying put.  Give this stuff a try.

Radio Shack makes nice 9v battery clips that will hold your 9v anywere you want it. Then you don't have to put a new piece of velcro on each new battery. I think they are about 2/$1.
