I didn't have a lot of time to take these pictures... I couldn't wait to try the new lens

Hopefully the weather will be a little nicer the rest of the weekend.

I did very little P/P, just a slight sharpen and a vertical crop.

I think you're officially addicted!!

Lens looks sharp from what I can see. Looks like you were shooting around f/4. I like the bokeh from that lens.

Enjoy the new lens paul. Keep shooting it and let us know what you think and learn about it.
I looked at the exif, and it looks like you had limited lighting for this test (f/4, ISO320, 1/80sec) .. but even so, this lens will give another stop of light than the 300mm @ f/5.6 lenses. (what I currently have)

Yup Zach, I'm addicted. Bow season started a week ago and I haven't bought my license for this year (yet)because I've been too rapped up in taking pictures. I wish I had time for both. And, thanks for teaching me a new word

BOKEH, I had to look it up...
When you use a lens at a wide aperture (ƒ1 - ƒ5.6), 'Bokeh' refers to the out of focus portions of the image

Chris, you're right too. The lighting conditions were horrible, the sun was already going down and it was raining (I should have tried a higher ISO speed).

Thanks Trent, the image stabilization and "L" glass are incredible!
