Right after turkey season I took my old shotguns over to a guy in Columbus Ga. that does after market camo dipping. I chose Realtree APG pattern. I think they turned out pretty good.

Looks good. Now don't leave it on the ground when looking for your bird. You may not find it after that.

Skeeterbait,

Just a little heads up. Don't get Deet on the finish. It takes the camo right OFF (no pun intended).

Also, Don't get WD-40 on it. It takes the dullness off and it will shine.

Absolutely Thermacell is a turkey hunter's best friend. but you still need permetherin for chiggers and ticks.

Jesse or Tominator,

Am I allowed to post the company info?

The guy calls his company Duracoat. He runs a little hole in the wall shop in Columbus Ga. but he does good work. He has been in business doing camo dipping for 10 years. He has a machine to remove old finishes in addition to the dipping tank. His website is

http://www.georgiawaterfowler.com/duracoat_sponsor.htm

Not much of a website but his contact info is on it.

The process he uses is called Final Finish. It is patented by Immersion Graphics, also located in Columbus. Their process and materials are used by many firearms manufacturers including Benelli, Thompson Center, Mossberg, and Knight Rifles. Their website is

http://www.immersiongraphics.com

You can read about the process and view their patterns there. For those of you interested but nowhere near Georgia, you might want to call Immersion Graphics and ask if there is a licensed aftermarket dealer in your area.

I knew Immersion was in Columbus. Never heard of this feller. Looks like he does good work and his prices are good also.

Every year after turkey season I think about getting my shotgun done but haven't quite pulled the trigger yet.

I got the prices listed because I dropped off and picked up. He wanted more if I shipped to him and he had to ship back.

Frankly I think he gets about all the walkin business he can handle.

Immersion says they provide training and quality assurance inspection for all their licensees. So I would think anyone using their Final Finish process should give near equal results.
