Check out Proposal #8. They are proposing 5 pt antler restrictions in 6 units...two of which are the only units I've hunted there....interesting. No more either sex tags except for juniors in those units either. Also, there's an unlimited license--archery late hunt in a few units for 6 point bulls or better.

One of the worst impacts to the new regs is pushing back the Muzzle and Rifle Gila Elk Hunts one weekend. I know the rut is winding down the first weekend but by the second its going to be even worse. This will certainly impact harvest....which may or may not be good. At this point, I looking for the opportunities........

I didn't know that was on the table from the agenda. And that is a tough one to swallow but like you said, it may or may not be good.

Is it true that the archery seasons will be shifting later into the rut?
