Since your breech threads will have (or should have) some lube in them, yes you will have some powder stick in the threads. A cleaning patch or two, re-lube the breech plug, and reassemble. I spread out a sheet of newspaper or open a brown paper bag on my work bench to catch the powder. Hope this helps, good luck getting a shot off.

Well I filled my MA1 tag with a nice doe hiking out on the last day last year and drew again this year. I am already looking forward to hunting in the winter vs burning hot A zone.
I am thinking about using a Williams peep sight instead of the fiber optics this year. I don't have any experience with a peep sight but have heard some good reviews. Anyone here have experience or input?
