nice boar killed in paso robles

here's a nice spotted boar i killed at the twisselman ranch is paso robles a few weeks ago. they have a very good population up there. shot him from about 80 yards on a dead run and dropped him in his tracks. has 2 3/4 inch tusks and weighed around 225, maybe 250. sorry no in field pics though. he is pretty boar so i am going to drop $700 bucks to do a full shoulder mount on him. if you guys want to spend about 500 bucks on a boar hunt i definately recomend them, they run 100% success and you will see a ton of game up there including tule elk, deer and antelope. Even smaller sized boars killed up there have been having good sized tusks, one hunter killed a 130 pounder with 2 inch tusks.

thanks, the taxidermist said in about 4 months he thought he will have it done, will post pics then. i macerated the skull, will post pics over the weekend of the skull.

yes they do archery hunts, i think they do it from treestands.

Nice tusker! Ive been lucky enough to take pure Black hogs with tusk. But never a hamp. I have taken a bunch 120lb sow hamps.

A cool pie colored boar like that needs a first rate taxidermist... please post when finished.ii payed a pretty penny for my pig (the taxidermist put in show jaw set in my pig and man! he looks great. Hope yours turns out just as good!)
