I know that you get what you pay for but I really want one thats not very expensive. I would use it to get to and from deer stands and in setting up my blind or tree stand when its still too dark to see. I hate to use a flashlight because the turkeys & deer can see it and may avoid the area.

Tell me what you know or have heard about some like Tasco or some other pretty inexpensive units. Thanks for the replys. Alan

Masterhunter, I tried all the cheap ones, and in my opinin none of them are worth a flip. Might try more expensive units, or a sony camcorder with nightshot, if you want..........Dufus

Ordered a Tasco 100 that runs off 2 double A batteries. Tried it last night in backyard & in the starlight could see roof tops & woodpile and fence pretty good. With the illuminater could see OK but not all that great (did this inside my bedroom & could make out the lamp, pillows, chair & night stand.

Anxious to try it in the woods for the real test..
