I'm in need of some new glass. Turners has these Binos @$139.00 with a $40.00 mail in rebate from Nikon. I went down and looked at them and they felt good and looked pretty clear. Does anyone have any experince with the action series by Nikon? Thanx

Both my older sons started with 8X40 Nikon Action series. They've since been passed down to their younger step brothers. The glass is very clear and bright. In fact it sort of bothered me because they were as clear as my Monarch's at a third of the price. If you don't mind the size, I would definetly get them. We have 6 pairs of Nikon binocs. in the family, and they're all excellent.

They are good binos, I used to have a pair as bishop said. The size was the only problem I had with them. If you don't mind a little extra size then I'd say you couldn't go wrong buying them. They are very clear and have pretty good light transmission.

Used a pair for 4 years....now my Dad has 'em. When I upgraded he said, "I'll just take those." Can't beat them for the price.

I just bought a pair of Nikon Actions and noticed in the owners manual that they are not waterproof but listed as water resistant. Any one have any experience with these in the rain or snow? I had a pair of Bushnell that were "waterproof" which unfortunately turned out to not be even water resistant!

I got a pair of the 8X40s and love um,they are not as big as most binos and arent compact either,Very clear.used mine in the rain and snow without a single problem.I got a real deal on mine, they didnt have anymore in stock at BassPro at the time,so they sold me the binos out of the display cabinet at a big discount

I was looking at the Actions and stumbled upon on a pair of Nikon Tundra from Cameta Camera (ebay). I didnt get the rebate but the Tundra are waterproof, so far I like them alot, very clear and sharp at first light.
