Walmart has some really good Nikon Binocs' 10x50 for $138 in my personal opinion. Most Nikons and other high quality Binocs are way high out of my budget (even on EBay). I was debating as they are heavy and big (and I could always return them in 2-3 days if they were no better than my Bushnells)- but the clarity and eye relief is really more amazing than any one of the 3 other Bushnells that I currently own. I used them in the hills of Livermore yesterday durring a squirrel shoot and really liked them alot. I have not informed the wife as of yet of the purchase- funny how that works out

I just wanted to share with those of you that might be in need of something that works great for a really good price. I purchased this pair in the Antioch shore

Big 5 has a Winchester spotting scope that really decent for $98 when it goes on sale also. (got it last year) Funny how their sales programs work, ("Normally $258

") but they bring in the peeps like myself. You can ask the manager for the sale price when it is not currently on sale and most of the time they will give you it.

I have a pair of the Nikon Action series that is in that price range. Mine are the 8x40's and like them very much. Used then last deer season with no problem's. Nice and clear in low light and comfortable to use. A buddy has a pair of the Monarch's which are about twice (or more) the money and couldn't tell a whole lot of difference. The Monarch's may have been a little clearer but not twice the money clearer.
