NM Unit 23 archery

We have drawn NM unit 23,archery, does anyone have any experience there? was wondering about the elk population, terrain etc. from what I can gather , the northern bottleneck of the unit is best, any input would be greatly apprieciated.

There are some big elk in there, but they will be in and out. Look for water. It has been very dry. There are some steep canyons. Great deer unit. Good luck!
