After working 28 days on the Soberanes Fire, I've concluded that there are no pigs in Big Sur. I was mainly on the Coast ridge above HWY 1. It was thick, steep, water and poison oak in the drainages, pure nastiness especially with the gnats and flies, pig heaven.I thought for sure I would see some digging, trails, tunnels even after the 20 mi or so burn show exposed much of the hillside, but nada. Lots of deer though, but I don't think many people take too kindly on hunting around there. And good luck if you're an outsider trying to hunt up there. All private property off the 1 with heavily armed patrol around the ranches. Here's a few pics image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I don't know how to rotate them, sorry. The pigs crossing sign is by the Carmel bridge. Go get 'em!

Interesting that you did not see any pig sign. There used to be pigs in the lower end of Miller Canyon and way up Palo Colorado Canyon near Bottchare's Gap. Not too sure if they were right on the coast ridge or not but I thought they were. Anyway great photos and we all appreciate the work that you guys do.
