Northern Calif. pigs

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I have been wanting to do some pig hunting but don't have anywhere remotely close to go. does anyone know where to hunt in Northern ca.? I know there are some pigs around Red Bluff but I have know Idea where to go. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try Tehema WLA, off Hogsback Rd but its a draw hunt thats starts up this spring. You can talk to the Redding DFG office about application. Or you can try Spanish Ridge out of Williams off Hwy 10 by Indian Valley res. or when I lived in Chico I used to hunt hogs at Black Butte Res WLA, this is a shotgun, archery only hunt area, there are hogs there.

Your going to want to get this book; Wild Boar Hunting. It contains a little on actual hunting, but contains a lot of listings on where to boar hunt in California. You'll also need to wander this board and see what other people have said about the various places in Northen California.

I know where Black Butte Lake is, but where is Black Butte Res WA? Is it just somewhere around the lake?

The wildlife area is basically the west side of the lake and some portion of the south end. Most is walk-in or boat access. I haven't fished Black butte in awhile so I am out of touch as to what critters are there. A friend lives in Orland but I have never heard him mention ever seeing pigs there. Deer and turkey yes.
