Not quite a shed (PIC)

Here is one of my favorites. I found this buck dead, caught in a fence by his back leg. The coyotes had found him before I did. When I was trying to cut the skull plate off I accidently broke off one side so I cut the other side off then. Not a very old deer but I cant help but imagine what he would have grown up to be!!

Thats a cool find.I like the bottom picture,the antler reminds me of a turkey foot.

I'm with you, you gotta wonder what kind of rack that buck would have had as a 4 or 5 year old. Great find there. How much competition is there for sheds in Iowa by the way? Is it a competitive sport there?
