Well sort of....

The Admiral and I went down to N. San Diego County on Sun 2.19.12 to visit friends and while on the trip, I spotted this shape hiding in the bushes. After carefully glassing it, I realized this mound of pink wasn’t a strange hairy rock but rather a gorgeous fat sow. I could see this one wasn’t strong in the vision department – in fact, later when I got up real close, I could see the eyes were buried in the large skin folds about its face. So
I carefully and very quietly stalked from down wind, got real close and grabbed. I had her and she was “down”. In fact, she has a bad rightfront leg and has trouble getting up. But she then made some pretty unhappy - aggressive grunting noises and acted like she was going to have a real go at me. However on inspection, it turns out she’d broken off one of her canines and very likely had a bad tooth ache – who wouldn’t be in a bad mood under those circumstances. Well, a couple bits of apple later and she was “mine”…

Given her shape and the fact that she appeared to eating a large bowl of Pho, I surmised she was a Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Pig.

Thanks Andy, that was a fun time.

I'd like to report that "little" Miss Molly is feeling slightly better after her broken tooth fiasco, and gobbled up her apples and grapes with her normal vigor.
