Went out Sat. for the first real outing and found this 4pt. within the first 45min. I have pics of this buck in velvet and I will post that later. My Dad found a 3pt side about an 1hour later. On our way out we found the skull to a 7pt. that I have many pics of and I saw a lot during the season. Too bad because he would have been a great deal in a couple of years. I am going to bleach the skull and stain the antlers to put in the case with my full body turkey mount that I should be getting back sometime this spring!! They are dropping in North Central Indiana!

that's a shame about that 7 ptr, looks like it would have been a shooter this coming season

Always a bummer to find a dead buck and especially one that you have cam history with. Still a nice find though. Congrats on the first freshie of the year...it's always a great feeling to get your hands on that first one for the season

What a great weekend for sheds! I went Friday after work and found a nice 5pt side. Only problem is that the squirrels or mice chewed it a little. Still will be nice buck next year. Saturday my Dad and I went out and found two more. Dad found small 4pt side in water and I found another 5pt side, again with some rodent damage.

As they lay pics:

I think it's cool that you were able to find some sheds, and were able to capture the pic of the buck that dropped those horns

Went out last Thursday and took my son to a place that I hoped would produce his very first shed. After about 3 hours of walking he was tired and about ready to admit defeat when we made it to the south facing row of pines. I saved it for last. I saw it about 40yards off and I told him he better take that trail and I would proceed up the trail we were on. He made it about 10 steps before he started yelling and running right toward it. What a day! He is still telling everyone about his first shed antler!! Could not have worked out any better. I think the big guy upstairs was smiling on us that day!

Here he is with his antler only. One above is him trying to claim the one I found and his.
