His name was Eric Sawchuck and ran another forum at hawaiisportsman.com. He also had a show on local cable here called Hawaii Sportsman. Big loss to Oahu's hunting community. He fell 100ft to his death while goat hunting. Everyone say a prayer.

I know exactly where that is. Waianae is my home town and I hunted that area.
But I'm not sure his a forum member.

I had to leave a goat on a ledge once on Maui, only a few feet away but it was too risky to retrieve without being attached to a rope. Looked like about 500' drop.
p.s. Goat hunting in AK in the past was available to non-residents without a guide. Now a guide is required, can you guess why ?

My most sincerest condolances to his family! This happened to a young firefighter here on Kauai,maybe 15 years ago.Very sad.
