Ocotillo Wells / Anza Borrego Area??

I've never hunted down there before, how is it? Quail, Chukar, Yotes, Rabbits???
I am going riding there new years weekend with a big group of people. My Bike is blown up so I figured I would hunt while I'm out there. I know there will be a ton of people out there riding, where should I go to get away from the crowds?

Before you go, check the state park reg's and boundaries. The only hunting I have ever heard of is east of Truckhaven, toward the edge of the Salton Sea. Or, up above the western ridge from Anza Borrego.
