An interesting thing happened to a friend of mine. He killed a deer and then put the head and cape in the back of his truck and drove home to bring it to the Taxidermist. The trip was about 4 hours. When he got back, he brought the deer by for me to see it before bringing it to get mounted. As we were admiring the deer (10 point) a very strange thing happened. A very large grub about an inch long and 1/2" wide came wiggling out of the nose of the deer and dropped to the ground. That was the first and hopefully last time I witness that. Anyone know what the hell that type of bug could be? It looked like a maggot on steroids. Sorry to ruin some of you guys appetites, but I thought it was very strange.
