I sure hope so, I just ordered 4 Pelican 1120 cases and 4 Olympus D-380 cameras. I saw where someone had used a 1050 case, but I wanted a little more room to work with.

Guys I use the 1150 for the 370. the 1120 is a little tight unless you put it together sideways instead of regular way.the 370 has a door hinge that sticks out that can't be cut off or modified it holds the door for the smart card. cutting down both sides of the  1120 like for the owl and the 1120 is still very snug

I don't recommend using the 1120 ,when for a few dollars more you can get a 1150 and have loads of room.

shrtcrkt had some 1150's and a precut foam that work better than any 1120 ever will. He was selling them for $20 plus shipping but I don't know if he has any left.

I use these cases and you will have a hard time getting a more professional looking camera than that.

I have two using the 1050, I think it will fit in the 1120, but you might have to grind up the case a little bit though. Perfect fit in the 1050 though!

Coyotebandit, that is a slick unit ya got there. MCinIL also has one in the 1050 case. Very compact and neat. Good job.

I got 3 D-380's in the other day and you're right, they just won't fit sideways in the Pelican 1120 case. :mad-red:    Has anyone ever taken a grinder to the case to make it fit? Will that work? If it wasn't for that hinge, it would be a PERFECT fit! I've thought about cutting the hinge off and using a piece of tape to hold it on, but I really hate to do that to a brand new digital camera.

I ground the sides off and it seems pretty tight, might work but I had one force the side out a bit when I shut the door leaving the top seal not quite tight allowing rain to get in a bit. Didn't want to chance it with a digital so I go with the 1150. 1150 gives lots of room to run a set of d cells to operate the 380 from instead of the 6 day nimh's as well.

I built a unit this past weekend using a 380 and a 1120 case. Had to set the case up such that the door folds down but it works. not much room for any thing extra.

Will take some pics when I go check it.

Bat,

I'm just working on a 2nd one for me right now, just waiting on some parts to finish it up. I don't think I'm going to have time to build one for you in the near future, but I can answer any questions you might have.

You can flip the box sideways with a RS sensor but the MS20 still won't fit, It's easier to go to a 1150. You will have enought room to add a slave flash later if desired.

Mine is in a 1050 also but to use an aux. battery I run the wires outside and put the battery on the ground. Works for me. MC.
