Well, I did it again today, same place. Last week I should have gone to the end of the trail, like my partner did. Don't get me wrong, the canyon I went up last week looked great, had lots of sign..., but this spot, well it simply blew it away, as it seemed to go on an on, endlessly. Long story short, we split up, not to far apart. I climbed up a bit, up a hill, across it's short ridge, to another hill. I found a beautiful spot that provided lots to gander at; perfect pig country, with tracks and rooting seemingly everywhere.

So I pick this spot with the wind in my face, and looked, and looked, glassed and glassed. Finally, I spot something. I pull up the binoculars and the pig comes into perfect focus, for the 289th time; it's a rock, then I do it with a stump 257 times, then a bush 157 times... I tell ya, you just don't see wild pigs laying around during the day, because they almost always pick the thickest places with no view but from above, if you even have a view. Then I hear um, I pop my head up only to realize I just woke myself up, snoring again. When your running on 2-1/2 hours of sleep, and knowing that pigs don't move very often during the day, well it's a good time to catch up on lost sleep. Just try to not wake yourself, at least until the majical evening hour.

The good news is that I am not nearly as sore as the first trip in this spot. I'm sure I'll be a bit sore tomorrow, but I actually feel pretty good, despit the lack of sleep. The only question is, will the stars align next weekend.
