Oregon Applications due May 15th

Well, I'd stand a pretty good chance at drawing a tag next year if I decide to put in for one of the hunts I wouldn't mind doing where about half the 3 point applicants get drawn....might have to wait another handful of years if I decide hold out for a Starkey Exp Forest archery tag.

Although, I'm thinking of using my points in 2006 for a rifle hunt in the Northside unit or muzzleloader hunt. Then going for easier-to-draw Roosevelt Elk unit tags in my quest for an elk grand slam...all that's subject to change since I'm always interested in trying new areas--part of the fun for me is hunting new areas.

Me too. I like to see new country.

For OR, I put in for longshots. I won't draw for a few more years. However, if my best chance NM Elk tag falls thru, I'm thinking an Eagle Cap Wilderness combo archery hunt.

All most messed up on the Oregon deadline,thanks for the heads-up.I can rember just a few years back when Oregon would send out Proclamations to Non-res applicants from previous years,but no more.Easy to copy the 2004 mail order apps,though.

Like most states the "04" lic went up,now $76.50,from $54.00 in 2003 ???Still affordable to apply for the "Point Savers".

Also looking to cash-in about our around "06-07" for Elk,been "BUYING" and "Building" points in MOST states,since 1997.Good Luck to "ALL" in 2004 ---

Sounds like you getting ready to cash in. I just got started putting in for points. I only have 1, 2, or 3 for the obviouse western states. I'm looking at the long term investment. Hoping to have a 350+ bull on the wall in six years or so. Hopin'!
