Oregon Beargrass blooms

Some of my first attempts with my new Oly-c740uz.

These flowers grow on top of a tall stem, the bloom is about the size of a big orange.

Sorry about the sideway view, forgot to rotate.

Beargrass grows best at higher elevations and both deer and elk eat the flowers.

Let me know what improvements need to be done for better shots.
