Here's the bull I took first friday of season. Passed on a couple smaller bulls and fouled up on a good one. He came running to the calls. Good hunt...
Very nice lookin' Bull OC...Very Nice! I gather this was an Oregon hunt? How much meat did he bring ya' an' how long a pack-out was it? Midbrook talked to three fellas that were camped down from us in New Mexico last week, and it took them 10 hrs to pack out an animal, cause' they were so far into the Backcountry! Whew!...what a pull that musta' been, huh? Thanks for sharin' your good fortune...it sort of bolster's the spirits of those of us, that didn't bring our animal down, to know that somebody else IS having a run of good luck! Good Eatin' pardner and welcom to this Forum!
oneclearshot,
There was about 300 LBS. of boned meat on this guy. Killed him at 5:00pm Friday and did not get him out until 7:00 on Saturday. This was an Oregon hunt in the Norheast part of the state. No mules or horses or guides. Just a good elk hunt.
