So why close the land to the hunters? So the hunters will also put pressure on the fish and wildlife dept to rethink their policy?

Pretty much. A lot of guys hunt private land. If they can't get access and decide to hunt out of state, well that revenue lost. What it really does is put a crimp on the little mom & pop stores in the itty bitty towns that get a huge boost in customers from Aug through Nov.

There's Portland politics and Rest of Oregon politics. they're trying to rile up the Rest of Oregon.
