03 Oregon Waterfowl Festival

Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Oregon Waterfowl Festival

Columbia County Fairgrounds, St. Helens, Oregon
Saturday June 21nd and Sunday June 22rd, 2003
9:00 AM till 5:00 PM.

Bring the family to hear the state's best callers compete for the right to represent Oregon at the World Duck Calling Championship in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Under the direction of Master of Ceremonies Tim Grounds, contests include the State Goose Calling, an Open Regional Goose Calling, Open Duck Calling contests and Regional 2-Man Marsh Duck Calling championships. Registrations available for Kids (under 12), Juniors (under17) and Open divisions. Contestants will be required to provide proof of age and residence. Prizes will be awarded to the top placers including $1000 cash for 1st place each of the 2 Man Duck, 2 Man Goose, Open Duck and Open Goose divisions.

Planned events include a family Duck Camp BBQ, dog retrieving contests, duck boat / blind contest, dog training seminars, calling clinics and kids events. Saturday evening's BBQ will be highlighted by a special appearance of Tiffany Veenker who was featured in the recent Ducks Unlimited magazine article "Women in Waterfowling".

The festival will feature displays by artists, call makers, carvers, collectors, retriever trainers, duck boats and waterfowl gear. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will administer NW Permit Goose Testing. Thanks to the generous contributions of numerous sponsors we will hold raffles and auctions (silent and live).

Admission: Adults $7.00, Children (under 12) Free

The Oregon Waterfowl Festival is a non-profit organization that is committed to creating and facilitating youth-oriented waterfowling opportunities, regional habitat improvement and overall enhancement of the waterfowling experience for all related interest groups. Required funding and supportive resources are raised through festival activities, sponsor donations and contributions from corporate and individual benefactors.
