OTC January hunt any info

i was wondering if anybody had any info on the late season hunt during january for deer if anybody had any good places to check out any feed back would be great

09, My brother in law and i hunt 36b every year on that hunt. we are heading down today to get ready for the hunt friday. shoot me an email and i'd be happy to share what we know and how it looks since the fire once we get back.

36B is a good unit for "represenative" bucks.
You may not get a toad but there are plenty of younger bucks in the unit and there are lots of access points easy to get to. Beware of illegals, dope mules, and bandits and keep eyes in the back of your head. My suggestion is be on whatever ridge you want to hunt from at least an hour before the light starts turning to day.

thanks for all the info i guess i shouldve specified just curious if u guys new anything bout Units 30A or 30B were looking for mule deer then coues but take what we can get

sorry it took so long to get back with you. i've never hunted the 30 units but the 36B hunt was pretty good. We only had 2 days to hunt but saw some really nice bucks. I passed on a 6 pt hoping to close the deal on a big heavy 8 but no luck. January should be great. if you guys think of heading that way let me know.

Haven't seen bigger deer than in 44 And 42 for the OTC archery hunt. Here is what I took home hunting out of three seasons. I shoot the first buck I can and don't wait for a bigger buck. So far I have been pretty lucky. One at 8 yards and one at 84. All spot and stalk.

BTW the sheds are huge. The pic makes them look small but I gave them away for free and didn't have them measured. we found 6 pairs of sheds and one looked like a base ball bat with three points sticking straight up. Crazy stuff.
