NOTE: All the listed events are open to the public, although membership in some organizations might be required.

MONDAY: CSRA Flyfishing Association meets at 7:30 p.m. at Brandon Wilde clubhouse, 4705 Owens Road, Evans. The public is welcome.

SATURDAY: The Augusta Christmas Bird Count will be held by the Augusta-Aiken Audubon Society. Volunteers will meet at Popeye's on Walton Way at 7:30 a.m. and count birds until 1 p.m. Call 793-2788 for details.

SUNDAY, DEC. 29: Pinetucky Gun Club will hold a Pump Gun Shoot beginning at 10 a.m. Lunch and prizes will be included for $35. Call 592-4230 for details.

SATURDAY, JAN. 18: An adult-youth waterfowl hunt will be at Russell Waterfowl Management Area, with blinds allocated by drawing. Participants 12-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Applications must be submitted by Dec. 27. THE FORT GORDON Sportsman's Club meets the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. The shooting range (14) is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on selected Saturdays for military ID card holders. For more information, call Fred Perry at 791-5078.
