Just as I thought..

As sporstmen and Ca. license holders, I thibk we alll need to review the budget every year to understand what the DFG allocates, what gets vetoed, and what funding comes from where.

It isn't a giant pot that all the money goes into, and comes out of. The DFG is horribly underfunded and understaffed, and it boggles my mind to consider that some actually think that DFG is rolling in the dough, and just sticking it to sportsmen to rake in more dollars.

as sportsmen it is our duty to ensure that our monies that are setup to go to a specific project go that route, however it is grossly misused, not by DFG employees, but the bobbleheads that make the laws and abuse the funds.

Unfortunaly it is not just Kalistan where this happens, even in Georgia many programs that were initially setup for the funding of wildlife and pro hunter categories are used for crap that the stamps or taxes were not designed for, and goes well beyond fish and game. Just about everything that is approved by the scavengers that are politicians one year is left to be redistributed the following year, so nothing is what it seems, and little of the extra money we spend on tags and stamps each year makes it towards the critters they were meant to.
