Curious how long the battery life is in a Owl PF if forced flash is used? I remember reading that the date/time stamp craps out as the batteries get weaker also? I think I've taken 6 rolls with my first cam but played around with it quite a bit when I first hooked it up and got it working, so there are quite a few additional flashes there. I'd like to change them before any issues arise.

Hi CFB,
Going from memory..... 18 rolls/24exp @ 50% flash use @ +65F with high quality alkalines.
So maybe ~12 to 13 rolls with 100% flash.  Never really kept track of it.
Camera "AA" batts have no bearing on the function of the dateback - it has its own battery
(3V type 2025).

Thanks Archilochus! It's good to know about the date and time stamp too! I could have sworn I read on here before that when the stamp goes it was a sign that the batteries were getting weak. Must not have...
