So far this year 1 Canadian, i Ross, and you can call palmdale for total duck count (not sure). Early in season Gadwalls and Widgeon were shot with a few Mallards. The Majority (80%) of Ducks shot are buffleheads. Wednesdays are slow and Sundays when you have others moving the birds you get an opportunity to shoot. They have 18 ? Blinds and they are drawn each year before season starts. I might get 1 or 2 birds on Sunday but I like the place because I hold out for Mallards
,Widgeon or Gadwalls. To retrieve downed Bird you need a boat or Dog and it gets Dangerously Windy some days. I wont shoot birds afraid of loosing my Dog. After 8AM you can move around to other unoccupoied Blinds.
I also Like Palmdale because of the Trout Fishing. They planted 9 Thousand pounds this past wednesday and will plant 2 more times before Trout opener on the 2nd feb. with Tailwalkers 2lb and above..Great fishing so close.to LA. You can store a boat for $25 per year and if available a Trailer for $125 year?...Great Price..PM me if I can answer anymore Questions for you..

i actually just joined this month. guess ill have to wait to put in for the duck blind draw this year. dont know anyone there so cant help out much. hope to duck hunt it next season tho
jgasman661 Sunday will be the last day for Waterfowl, There should be blinds available. If you have a boat #14 Blind might be available and it is close to shore... If you have a dog...there should be a blind open on shore you can drive to that you can probably use...Might call to see when they open gate to let hunters in ...they lock it at a certain time and dont let anyone in till 8AM..Not sure if I will make it Sunday...
