I just received my Pentax PF 80 spotting scope today -- just when the sun went down of course.  It's nitrogen filled and uses the same eyepiece used in astronomy telescopes.  It's 20-60 power with an 80 mm objective lens.  You can see a picture of it in Cabela's 2002 Shooting catalog (they have it listed for $1200).  I bought it as a "Buy it Now" item on Ebay from Cameraland New York for $900, but their regular price is $950, with full USA warranty.  It's big and heavy (68 oz.) but so are the Swarovski and Zeiss spotters of comparable quality as shown in the Cabela's catalog (they are each about 52 oz.)  The price included the full field case similar to the one shown for the Swarovski, and it has a retractable objective lens hood.  It's rubber armored.  I'll let you folks know how I like it once I get out into the field and tote it around a bit.
