So my next adventure and challenge as an archer and bow hunter is to bird hunt for pheasant & grouse and other game birds with a trad bow and Flu flu,s. So I acquired this awesome handmade Osage orange longbow with a left & right suade leather shooting shelf. I put a string on it added silencers and knocks and she's good to go. I like the character lines groves and bends on the Osage and it shoots sweet. I had some custom Flu Flu arrows made for the bow to my specs and fletching colors and to compliment the bow and arrows. I also acquired this handmade real Coyote quiver for the Flu Flu,s to go with the Osage. Now I can't wait to get the chance to use it hunting but first gotta to practice Arial shooting with it and the flu Flu,s before I hit the field. Thanks for looking.....trauploadfromtaptalk1359355997646.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359356009516.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359356021756.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359356035068.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359356047277.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359356062421.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359356079301.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359356093300.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359356107780.jpg

All those primitive handmade items on carbon shafts. :smiley_doh:

Good looking, no doubt. Making wood arrows with bought shafts is easy and fun. You ought to consider giving it a try. I believe you'd really enjoy it. If I can do it anyone can. :lol bashing sign:

I hear ya PowerDuck. I do shoot ceader shafts with feathers with the bow but I really like the.durability of carbon to so I thought I try them with the Flu Flus.
I was actually at the range this morning shooting the Osage with the ceaders and it shoots great left and right. No one was out there so I had the range to myself and shot the Flu Flus with the Osage and they flew great out to the 70 yrd. target. The bow is only 58" ata and pulls around 45 lb. And I just simulated shooting at a bird in the air at max draw and let it rip towards the seventy and it shot straight up in the air and.would spiral down nicely and land vertical and they kept landing 10 ft. from the target in a nice group, very happy and very impressed.
I also have a dozen true custom woodie arrows I will.be selling soon with a real nice classic bear recurve bow I will be putting in the JHO.classified soon. Have a great day my friend.......tra-d
