Pic's in the rain

Howdy folks,

just wondered how many of you place a rain hood over your camera units ?

i always place one on all my cam's as it helps to reduce the water splotches on the shutter lens.

here is a pic from a few days ago that was taken at night while raining


looks like it works pretty good to keep the rain from affecting the quality of your pic's.
it's got the doe scratching her head as to what flashed.....hehehe

on the cam unit that this pic was taken with , it has a rain hood that projects out over the camera about 2 inches.

Hey that works great. I've always put up with rain dots on the lense. Think I'll try this trick out. THANX DOCC!

what do you use for a rain hood.  The picture looks great. thanks for the info.

i use only metal enclosure boxes and when i start modifiying the box i simply weld on a hood that projects out over the top of the unit which shields the camera and flash openings from the rain.

That's neat.  What can you use to attach PVC to a gun ammo can?  Contact cement maybe?
