Has anyone used manufactured pig hunting calls with any success?

I am a big believer in calls for many kinds of animals.

I even know of a bug that responds to a certain kind of call, but for pigs I really have doubts about any effectiveness of using a call.

First off, I think pigs are generally alot smarter right off the bat than most other game animals.

Sometimes I am tempted to purchase a call, but then I battle with myself on it being a waste of money, because I really don't think pigs would buy into it.

I think they might have a better chance responding to a wounded animal call if they respond to a call at all.

It is still probably better to just to track, spot, stay silent and stalk for best results at bagging a pig.

I am just curious if anyone here has ever used them.

you can use the snort pig call to locate them but they wont call much and rarely its really hit or miss if you ask me with pigs

I've used them and still carry one. I prefer the Boss Hog, usually I just spot and stalk and do low grunts as I make noise walking to sound like a pig walking and feeding. I've stalked to 30 yrds and been busted and grunted on it and it calmed them down so I could get a shot. thats my 2 cents.

I'm with hunterDoug, I just figured it out two days ago while walking under some oaks, I would low grunt as I would walk to help cover my noise.
I grunted at two hogs from about
90 yards out and they didn't even look in my direction.
