I saw this story (on a fishing website) of a pig swimming towards San Antonio Bay here in Texas.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>
My son and I were running around Shoalwater near Catman last Sunday. We found this little guy swimming around over there, heading out to open San Antonio Bay in high winds. Wonder if the gators got him. I tried to herd him over to a spoil, but he headed on out; last we saw he was a little dot taking the short way to Panther, heh.[/b]

Apparently, pigs are strong swimmer. One picture posted here is at the San Luis Reservoir in Los Banos.

Cool. A friend of mine saw a bunch swimming across a cove at Lake Sonoma once.

Hula-popper? Floating Rapala? Buzz bait? Which would you use? Also, are pigs leader shy?

Is that the "pig paddle" or the breast stroke? Awesome picture none the less.

Thanks,

There swim here too at our lakes, the bad thing is they can't see very well and can't judge the distance from shore to shore here for some reason. They almost always drown. Bummer. Note to self: Carry pig net
Thanks Lan-Lord for the story!

I woulda given him a ride to shore....then a ride in the back of my truck - right to the BBQ pit! That's a cool pic though.
