My wife and I walk along this pipeline on the backside of our neighborhood . It is kind of our escape from the city, eventhough it is about 5 minutes away. It is cool, we can see plants, flowers, blue herons (there is a bayou that wanders nearby) and all kinds of other wildlife. We have even spooked deer while walking out there. Well our last time out, we saw this big dark "blob" down the trail. I thought it looked like a pig, but wasn't sure. So we sneaked up on it, and as we got closer, it ran off with about 8 little piglets.. then this guy didnt know what was going on, he was running a little behind, I had time to capture a few frames of him with the camera..

we were able to walk almost right up on him before he grunted and ran off..

It was kind of cool, I want to go back and chase one! I just hope he doesn't come rooting around in my yard! I may have to take corrective action on him if he does!

The poor guy looks lost. Maybe you should invite him to dinner next time.

Well I suppose thats a non hunting zone. You could take your bow out and target practice. Maybe miss the target one or 2 times hit something running in your way

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing! That is pretty cool! I never get to see pigs just walking around. Seems the only ones I've EVER seen has been while I was hunting so I mostly just see them through the cross hairs.

. If you seen that many I bet there will be more moving in soon. Hope they stay out of your yard.

Looks like a nice place to target practice with the bow.

I was pretty suprised how close I was able to get to him.. Gus I hope he doesnt find comfort in the residential areas. That will be extremely anoying to walk outside and see your yard dug up.

maybe I can advertise "backporch hog hunts". Just have my back gate spring loaded so that it closes behind him if he comes into the back yard. Do I have any takers?? Hog hunting on my .125 acre lot. 99.99% guarantee.
