Just curious what size of hole you guys use for your pir when the camera is a PF. It seems quite a bit "slower" than my AF's. I use a 3/4" hole for the AF,should I use a 1" or bigger to allow for camera?
Well, I've just built one yet, and haven't developed any pictures either, but I'll try to make a contribution. I also went with a 3/4" hole because in testing it seemed to give the PIR about the same field of view as the PF. So, my logic was not to make it any larger because it could trigger on something outside of the camera's view and not come directly in front of it. Also, I think some would agree that a larger hole would make the PIR more prone to false pics, whether they be caused by the sun, wind, or who knows what else.
