Dear Governor Jerry Brown,
I’ve been trying to call in all day but can’t get through on the phone. There is no doubt others are also asking you but here I am pleading:

-> Please VETO GUN BILLS : AB 1664, AB 1673, AB 2607, SB 1235, SB 880 and SB 1446 <-

I'm a responsible Hunter, Archer and outdoor sport shooting enthusiast and have had firearms in my bedroom since I was 9 years old. Some people ruin it for everyone, and I'm that everyone - im a responsible adult that obeys firearm lays to the 'T' - and none, I say none of the bills above will do anything to stop future episodes of crazy people doing something stupid and illegal.

I see the benefits and support a waiting period for rifle purchases and more extensive background checks, but as an enthusiast where firearms are my primary hobby I'm asking you to please veto the other bills that wont do anything to curb crime, what we really need is more education about firearms in schools, to teach compassion, tolerance, and responsibility - not fear or plant false hope that there is a simple solution.

Let’s invest in people not more laws that will only punish law abiding citizens like me that have a passion for firearms and their history.

-> Again Please VETO : AB 1664, AB 1673, AB 2607, SB 1235, SB 880 and SB 1446

Thank you

Steve

Done did all that. It sounds fishy as all he'll that he's going on vacation as these hit his desk. If he doesn't do anything they become law.

i dared him to sign it stating even liberals love their guns and it would assure a Trump victory and would be easily overturned in court.

Thanks. Damn so I guess we got till the 31st of Dec to sell as well. Gonna use mine for the last time this Deer season and sell it. Im sure there will be a mad dash to buy semi auto rifles. Anyone looking for a deal on a M1A scout .308, brown with 4 10rd mags. I'll be putting it up for sale early November. Asking 1100. Paid 1800 out the door for it. PM me if anyone wants dibs on it and you got till November to save for it. Willing to trade, looking for a nice lever action 30-30.

Why would you sell it? I've read nothing that says you can't keep what you already legally own...

I wanna use it. I'd feel more PO'd just looking at it sitting in my safe. I'll use the funds for a lever action I've been wanting to get. And if I dont end up selling it, I guess I'd still be happy having it.

If I understand this correctly this does not effect saiga sporters, M1A's, etc because they do not have a pistol grip.
If you have kydex wrap that does not allow a pistol grip grasp your OK.
If you change a bullet button to a true mag lock, shown above, your OK.
You'll also now have the option to make it a RAW again, throw the BB away entirely, and run in standard config again.

Here's a question... should I be making a gun trust before 2017?

The new definitions classify the M1As as assault weaopnes. They burried it in SB880. Bullet buttons and anysemi auto centerfire rifle with a detachable magazine

Basically if your rifle is equivalent to a mini-14 then you are good to go. No folding/collapsible stocks, no bayonet lug, no flash hider, no pistol grips. Featureless...

Dude. You can still buy AR-15s, as long as you buy before Jan. 1, 2017. You would have to register them with the DOJ. It does NOT include M1A, mini-14 or mini-30 rifles. They are specifically after the AR-type rifles/pistols for LEGAL sale in CA.

If you read the new law it says assault rifles are reclassified as any semi auto rifle with detachable mag.
