Poached tule bulls- san luis area

So last week I find a good bull in the san luis unit where i will be hunting starting Oct. 5th. I also find a good back up bull. Well some time Friday (Sept. 20th.) someone shoots 3 bulls. They shot the big bull I liked and took his head, they shot a good 7x8 and left dead as well as a smaller bull and left it lay as well. If anyone knows who has the big bull head I will personally offer a reward for proof and conviction of the low down dirty no good for nothing piece of trash who poached these bulls. They were off of I-5 and 152. I dont have any pics of the big bull but I have pics of the 7x8 that they left lay. I am so pissed right now I could string somebody up!! F&G are on it and have taken DNA from the bull that they took the head but the two they left, not much can be done about them. They will look for lead/copper in them when they do the necropsy.

Out of control.....I would give anything to catch someone poaching and stop them. I hate that areas I hunt are constantly poached it takes away opportunities from legitimate hunters who put in time and effort.

Us cal hunters wait a lifetime for a tag like this and then to put in the time to locate a bull to satisfy your longing. What a waste and what a piece of shit. Jason brotha I am sorry man I know you have been scouting hard for these bulls. Let's hope the poachers are caught and rightfully convicted. Wow. Wow Wow.

Wow. That's just dirty! What's done is done and I hope the person, or people responsible will.pay dearly. Keep your chin up, wipe away the sorrow, and go get yourself a decent one. Look on the bright side, you are still luckier than most of us to be given the chance to hunt elk there. Good luck on your hunt and we all can't wait to read and see your pics.

I have a #1 and a back up bull picked out but the big bull they took the head off of was a definate shooter.
