Thanks lan lord, here is a couple more from this afternoon. I still dont know what the heck Im doing

I was trying out the "P" mode on some of these. I need to get a begginers book on digital photography, the manual really doesnt explain what each setting is, only how to acheive the setting.

nice pics, those cows don't look very happy, perhaps they know they are destined to be hamburger? lol

the "P" mode as you described usually stands for programmed auto, in this mode the camera will set the shutter speed and aperature for the best exposure for you.

SWEEEET, I'm gunna throw my s5000 in the drawer and get one of those. Keep shooting, it just gets better.
