Prep'n for FHL this weekend

Whoo-Hoo! We're getting ready. I sighted in my brand new slug-gun on Saturday. On the second shot the internal lens on the red-dot scope broke free. So it's open sites for me. But this close to hunting, not much can bother me now!

Anyone else going?

Blastmaster-
I was there last weekend and can not go this weekend. Taking kids sking.

I checked into area 2 and there was lots of fresh sign by the lake in the back.

I think they are going between area 2 and the private ranch in the back.

You may need to get there bright and early cause I think they are moving early and late at night.

I hope it's not too full-up. We're hoping for 13e or 29 to be open. Do the turkey hunters like those areas too? I saw mass quantities of turkey last fall in 10/13.

We'll be leaving very early tomorrow, and hope to get there by noon. It's a '70s motorhome that's like flying a fat plane on a short trip. Just about the time you finally reach cruising altitude, it's time to start that landing checklist...

Actually, that would be a bad thing. I would prefer less turkeys and therefore less hunters, because I'm just after pigs. Although, turkey hunters tend to be very stealth-like, so they really should be no problem. I'm more likely to mess up their call, than they are likely to mess up my stalk, I think. (I feel a Rodney King - "Can't we all just get along?" moment coming...)
