Didn't hear a peep out of any gobblers all morning - until 10:21 am. Had one answer to a cut out of the Murphy Madness. Within about 30 secs I saw two red and white heads coming my way. Turned out to be 2 jakes. The one that came the closest to me had an unfortunate day. Not much of a beard or spurs but it'll eat good. Got the breasts marinating in the fridge now. The only part of him that made the pics was 3 of his tail feathers.....

I like those shots. You have a great eye for setting up a photo. I remember your other turkey shots being well done also. Are you in marketing or advertising at all?? LOL, seems like you could plug into that field pretty good.

lan-lord - thanks for the good comments. Not into product photography at all. Most of my photos are of my kids' sporting events. But I like to try different things after the kill. I wouldn't mind getting into doing some outdoor product photography or other outdoor photography to somehow fund some new equipment :D

Great pictures TNhunter and congratulations on the great opening day. I photographed six gobblers the week before opening day in the blind at about 20 feet and opening weekend got skunked - never even saw one! Go figr.
