Can you scan the cam apart and I will show you where to wire(I have no pics and cameras are out in bush)

I wish i could but.....

There are 10 contacts on the front of the board.
i have one wire on the 5th one and one on the 6th.
(I have the camera pointing away from me)
I still havent figured the flash problem GRRRR!

I just went and ripped apart a 2400ff I haven't wired yet.  the 5 and 6 pins are the correct pins to wire to if I'm remembering right.  The flash will not work unless there is film in the camera, so as long as you are hearing the camera when you short the two wires you probably have it wired right.

I have the cam back in the form that i bought it in and the flash still only works now and then.  Must be something in the camera itself.

Looks like ill be having to go get me a 42.88 owl pf!

applbit,

Did you try winding the little gear under the film door to the left till it clicks a couple of times? The cam should flash every time,with forced flash like this.

ive tried that also. Still only flashes when it feels the need.

I've wired eight of these cameras.  I don't have a digital cam to take a pic.  If you look under the shutter button there are 3 gold circles, look at the middle one and follow it's path to where it splits into 2 silver contacts.  That's where i have soldered mine and have had no problems.  Is that where you soldered the two wires?
