Wild boar jumps into bed with couple to escape dog

A scared wild boar crashed through a glass door and jumped into bed with an elderly German couple after being chased by a Yorkshire Terrier.
The boar didn't see the patio door and ran straight through it and into the front room of the couple's bungalow in Minden, Germany.
It then ran into the bedroom and jumped on the bed, burrowing under the sheets where the terrified couple were still resting.
Andreas Janik, 71, said: "I thought a bomb had dropped. There was a loud crash and then I felt something hit the bed. I sat up and there was a wild pig in the bed, tusks and everything, trying to hide under the duvet.
"My wife and I leapt out of the bed and we saw the dog outside barking, and we had to chase it off before we could persuade the pig to leave.
"I had to hit it on the snout with a newspaper. I can't believe it was afraid of such a little dog."
