Record book Bontebok Antelope

Another one of my friends SCI animals that fared well in the record books. This Bontebok was ranked as number 26 in Safari Club's forthcoming edition. It is an excellent trophy class ram. Bontebok require a CITES permit to import into the USA. Just a formality to send in an application along with $100 to the USF&W service. Bontebok are indigenous to South Africa. You want to be sure of whom you hunt this species with as some are not pure bred Bontebok and hybred Blesbok/Bontebok crosses are common. A letter of pedigree from the land owner must accompany your CITES permit request.

I'll try to get some more of his trophies posted soon. Bow hunting Blesbok should be a lot of fun One Track. Unless your hunting in a blind you may find a lot of eyes on you. Let us know how your trip goes.
